Wellness Journalism, Marriage, Working, and 2020

Angel Massie, Joshua Tree National Park

It’s been a loooong time since I’ve written here, and in between, life has done a 360 for me. I got engaged, and married to the love of my life, I suffered through a bout of panic attacks, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder, I got through the former with wellness, I went back to school for wellness — and decided to craft a new journalism career based off of this. Whew! run-on sentence but you know, I wanted to visually express the mouthful that my life has been since I last posted here.

I honestly contemplated whether writing and journalism was for me, I wondered if I came back to this space, would there be an audience to write to. Is blogging dead? How can I mix wellness, and it’s modalities together to share what I’ve learned, and what I seek to learn? All my questions just confirmed to me that TheAngelEra.com needed to come back. So while I used to post about travel, this site will now become an ode of sorts to wellness around the world. I’ll travel to, and discover different ways of wellness, it’s history, and it’s founders locally, and around the world. I’ll sprinkle some of my life in there, but at this point? I’m a wellness journalist and professional for life, and I have goals for that. It feels good to find a career path that you can see yourself in as a 50 year-old. And while I have a long time until I get to that point, things can go by in a flash — and my goal is to just get started.

So please come along with me, as I pursue this new journey of wellness, mindfulness, and life in abundance.
